Finished Sizes: 19.5˝ (20.5˝) circumference but each size will stretch at least. 2˝ more
Materials: 2 (3) balls Ella Rae Jaspe Wool (88 yds/50grams); US 7 (4.5mm) and US 8 (5mm) 16˝ circular needles; US 8 double point needles. Hat knit in color 5 Olive/Magenta/Teal/Charcoal/Copper/Purple.
Gauge: 4.5 sts = 1˝ over stockinette stitch on US 8 needle or size to get gauge
Instructions:
Using US 7 circular needle cast on 88 (96) sts, place marker, join being careful not to twist sts. Work in K2, P2 rib for 5˝. Change to US 8 circular needle and continue in stockinette stitch for another 3˝ (3.5˝) or until piece measures 8˝ (8.5˝) from beg edge.

Change to double point needles when necessary
Next rnd (dec): Dec 4 (6) sts evenly spaced apart, 84 (90) sts.
Next rnd (dec): (K4, K2tog) around, 70 (75) sts
Work 3 rnds even
Next rnd (dec): (K3, K2tog) around, 56 (60) sts
Work 2 rnds even
Next rnd (dec): (K2, K2tog) around, 42 (45) sts
Next rnd (dec): (K1, K2tog) around, 28 (30) sts
Next rnd (dec): K2tog around, 14 (15) sts
Next rnd (dec): K2tog around, 7 (8) sts
Break yarn and pull through remaining sts. Fasten off. Darn in ends.
